Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE)

Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE)

The Society of Petroleum Engineers aims to create a learning resource that can be used by ASU students to learn more about the technologies currently used and being developed for the oil and gas industry. Furthermore, we hope to educate engineers about the oil and gas industry and help prepare students to network with and connect with energy companies that may eventually lead to interviews and employment opportunities with energy companies. This resource would include teaching members about the types of jobs that exist, both upstream and downstream, for different engineering disciplines and the technical aspects of developing and refining oil and gas resources.

Our goal for students is to provide a conducive atmosphere for members to network and connect with industry professionals, learn what types of jobs and internships are available for students, and ultimately find careers and internships in the industry.
