The Mechanical-Autonomous Vehicles (MAV) ASU Club is open to students of all disciplines. It is devoted to researching, designing, and fabricating micro-air vehicles. We showcase our progress and developments through competitions worldwide. Micro Air Vehicles (MAVs) are small, radio-controlled aircraft being developed for basic reconnaissance, aerial photography, and low Reynolds number aerodynamic studies. Recently the club has been focusing on the development of MAV’s with autonomous flight capabilities. Current research also involves the development of collision avoidance and image recognition systems. We are also in the process of collaborating with another student organization Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE).
